What You’ll Do:

The Customer Experience (CX) Organization at CoreWeave is dedicated to ensuring every client running AI workloads at scale has a seamless, reliable, and high-performance experience. This team supports the infrastructure that powers the AI revolution—working across data centers, hardware systems, and customer workloads to maintain the integrity of our cloud platform. The CX organization aligns closely with the internal and customer engineering teams, offering valuable insights from the field and having the chance to contribute to the CoreWeave product roadmap and development.About the role

CoreWeave runs some of the largest GPU clusters in the world, and the network has a lot to do with how well they perform. As a Senior Specialist Field Engineer for Networking, you'll help customers get the most from the GPU fabric, the front-end network, and the links between data centers. You'll work closely with the Networking product and engineering teams, and what you learn in the field will help shape what they build.

In this role, you will:

  • Design network architecture for complex customers (multi-cloud, multi-region, hybrid Kubernetes, bare metal, Direct Connect), including how it fails and what each failure affects.
  • Troubleshoot problems that span many nodes and VPCs, from the Linux kernel and the CNI up through the data-center fabric and HPC interconnects (InfiniBand, RoCE).
  • Find where the product falls short for real workloads and work the gap through with engineering, as an extended member of the Networking team.
  • Lead customer technical overviews, proofs of concept, and customer workshops, with occasional travel.

Who You Are

  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years building or operating large-scale networks, as a network, systems, or software engineer, or in a deeply technical networking-focused field role.
  • Solid working knowledge of network protocols such as BGP, VXLAN/EVPN, and DNS.
  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes networking, including CNIs such as Cilium or Calico.
  • Expertise in cloud connectivity: VPCs, peering, dedicated interconnects, and VPNs such as WireGuard or Tailscale, and the trade-offs between them.
  • Very comfortable going below the tooling to analyze packet captures, kernel routing tables, interface and fabric counters.
  • You explain technical problems clearly to engineers and executives, and you build trust with customers.

Preferred

  • Expertise with InfiniBand and RoCE, including fabric diagnostics, subnet management, and partition-based tenant isolation.
  • Experience with NVIDIA GPUs, especially GB200/GB300 platforms.
  • First-principles debugging through the Linux kernel network stack, eBPF, FRR, and OVS.
  • Diagnosing distributed failures across hundreds of nodes, such as ECMP blackholing across fabric planes.
  • Large Direct Connect designs: per-VPC BGP sessions, prefix strategy, and cloud provider limits.
  • Contributions to networking open source (kernel, FRR, Cilium, OVS) or published work on fabric design or network debugging.

Wondering if you’re a good fit?

We believe in investing in our people, and value candidates who can bring their own diversified experiences to our teams – even if you aren't a 100% skill or experience match. Here are a few qualities we’ve found compatible with our team. If some of this describes you, we’d love to talk.

  • You'd rather look at a packet capture than guess.
  • You're comfortable saying "I don't know yet," and then you go find out.
  • You like working on a hard problem alongside the customer and the engineering team, and you share the credit.
